Welcome! I’m Anne. I am a mom, wife, and middle school educator. I absolutely LOVE Social Studies, and I am passionate about bringing you easy-to-use resources and ideas for your inquiry-based Social Studies classroom.
I am in my 17th year as a Middle School Educator in South Carolina. I spent 13 years teaching Middle School Social Studies. Now I serve as a Middle School Instructional Coach and in this role I get to support Social Studies teachers as they implement our state’s new inquiry-based standards.
I care deeply about equity, inclusion, and anti-racism. I value this work, and I am doing what I can to support work in these areas.
In my time away from school (not going to call it free time!), you will find me playing with my kids, drinking way too much coffee, and running at ridiculously early hours or riding our Peloton. Though it’s a challenge, I am always trying my best to find a balance in life, stay in the moment, and, of course, make sure I have enough coffee!
My favorite motto (that I have to repeat to myself several times every day) is, “Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.” Thank you so much for visiting my page. It is my goal to help you find ideas, resources, and inspiration for your inquiry-based Social Studies classroom.
